They are super thick, sturdy, and stable enough to hold greasy foods without the soak through. On top of that, they are compostable and break down within 90 days. That's however many plates you order less in a landfill. Will be purchasing again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excelente *by on Reviewed in the United States September 10, 2026* Excelente ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy, and they can be composted. *by on Reviewed in the United States September 4, 2026* Very sturdy and stiff. No plate holder needed. I haven't used for very wet foods, so I can't say about that. A bit more expensive than regular paper plates. Can go into landcape compost, not a lot of toxins. If they do end up in a landfill, they will turn into dirt, not sit there forever. Regular paper plates will decompose, but they are flimsy, and materials unsafe for compost. Plastic covered paper plates don't decompose well and not safe for compost. ## Frequently Bought Together - ECO SOUL 100% Compostable 9 Inch Paper Plates 1000 [8x125 Pc] Disposable Heavy Duty Eco-Friendly Sturdy Dinner, Wedding, Event Plates I Biodegradable Unbleached Sugarcane Eco Plates - Reli. 55-60 Gallon Trash Bags Heavy Duty | 150 Bags | 50-60 Gallon | Large Black Garbage Bags | Made in USA - Plasticpro Cutlery Plastic Forks Medium Weight Disposable Silverware (White,1000 Forks) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/522813761-eco-soul-9-inch-disposable-bagasse-paper-plates-1000-pack](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/522813761-eco-soul-9-inch-disposable-bagasse-paper-plates-1000-pack) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-11-04*
