The strap fixes to the camera buckle loop with a well designed button-press release mechanism, and comes with a bag of spare buckle loops for other equipment which allows you to switch the strap easily between them all. The strap itself is very sturdy, yet soft and comfy on the wrist, and just the right length to allow free unhindered use of the camera without being long enough to get in your way.
