Sharpens up fairly well, and has an effective looking blade shape with deep fullers. The handle, while initially seeming plasticky, does have a good degree of tackiness similar to the old Cold Steel handles, and stays in the hand well enough. Might be a good choice for a load out where weight is a concern, or for those of lesser stature or strength, as it is easy to both carry and use. Only thing I wasn't crazy about was the belt loop, so I put a cheap knock-off tek-lok clip on the back, to increase security and ride height.
