Review: Ice, Ice Baby! - A great product, perhaps a little over fabricated, but looks neat and is stylish. Easy to operate and safe to use. Ensure the top lid is correctly fitted as the product's safety feature will not allow operation until the lid is fitted correctly. Easy to clean with removal parts and easy reassemble. Ideal for frappe's and slushy's or any other application that requires shaved Ice. Come with two settings of Ice shaving. Fine or Course... but both are pretty much the same. Due to the nature of the Products' job, do not be alarmed by the noise of the operation. You are cutting hard blocks of ice. It is bound to make some noise! Good product. Ideal for winter and Summer use.

Setting it up and using it is very easy and has made making slushies for the kids a doddle. I use crushed ice from the shops instead of ice cubes; it's easier to fit into my freezer and I can feed it into the machine better. I've only used the fine setting as we like having shaved ice for snow cones and slushies. It works well for both purposes but we like to add the syrup and some water after using the machine when making slushies. The ice that comes out obviously isn't as fine as a store bought slushie, so we feel this makes it a bit easier to drink. We also like being able to choose our own syrup flavour, which is harder to do when mixing the syrup straight in the machine. The kids absolutely love having a treat with this and I can see it being very popular at birthday parties and in summer!

**Q: How much ice do you need to make the max amount of slush ?**
A: Full tall glass full

**Q: Do you sell spear parts as my jug and mixer insert have broken**
A: Mines broke also I emailed the company and they sent me a whole new machine for free

**Q: Does this machine allow you to make cocktails? If so how is this done? Can I use syrup pouches?**
A: This machine literally just crushes ice. What you choose to do with your crushed ice is up to you. We usually add a few drops of syrup to make a slushy or pour baileys over.

**Q: How cold is the slushie i.e is it cold enough to give you brain freeze as my drinks have to be really cold**
A: It isn’t really a slushie machine - more of an ice crusher but it gets jammed really easily unless you bash the ice before putting it into the crusher. It doesn’t freeze the water.

It crushes ice though seems to make hard work of it. Looks smart, is easy to put together and clean. I've never used an ice crusher before so cannot make any comparisons.
