You don't even need to scrub it really, though I do: it somehow lifts the stain and removes the scent, even for nasty runny number 2 accidents. We've also used it to clean up small-child messes like vomit. Even stuff that had sat there for several hours and dried, or stains that had been there for several days, it did great. It has a slight smell, but not a strong one.It ain't cheap, but it sure seems to work.
