Voodoo octave - not that great *by J***S on 27 August 2024* The high gain distortion pedal enables me to practice without being too loud. When connected to my mini practice amp, the ms2 model, it REALLY cleans up the distortion on the clean channel of the amp that them mini amps are well known for. That is when it is inactivated though, bypass switched off (obviously) but it still needs power through it to make the change so still needs a battery. I don't have any idea why it does it, it just does. So even when I just want to use the clean on my mini amp, I use this high gain distortion pedal but with the bypass switched off. The voodoo octave isn't that great. It sounded pretty bad when I first bought it. I did the mod to it that is common to do with these pedals and it sounds much better.
