Review: Camping Game Changer - I was looking for a tent to add to my Tacoma truck. I looked at a lot of options that would attached to the roof. Non of those options opened up to the back of the bed. I built a bed platform in the bed of the truck and wanted something that would give us a little more room and privacy. This was the perfect addition. First, it is very well built and a very high quality tent. I love the fact that we can stand up in there. It makes it easy to change our close and move around. We can now slide out from the bed and not have to worry about shoes, dirt or rain. It is so spacious you can setup a bed inside the tent so the family can all camp together. We setup chairs and a table in there to hold our camping stuff. You could even put a pee bucket in there so you don't have to wonder to far from bed. It is easy to setup. The tunnel to the truck is not difficult to figure out. Every vehicle is different, so i suggest playing around with it and finding your own personal setup. You can detach it easily, zip up the tent, and take the truck out for the day. Just back up, attach and you are ready for the night. We love this tent and it has changed our camping experience. Review: Stable in wind and rain. - I bought this awhile ago for beach car camping on Portsmouth Island (Outer Banks of North Carolina). This past week was my first chance to put it to the test. First off I violated the first rule of camping. I did not do a practice run with setting it up. My wife and I figured it out but the directions were sketchy. The basic set up was fairly straight forward but there are a plethora of straps and buckles with no clear instructions about how to use them. But, as I said, we figured it out. We used specialty sand stakes to anchor the four corners and we set up a large canopy over the front access door for shade. On our third night we got serious wind and rain. The the tornado warning went off about 9:00 PM. There was really nothing to be done except for my wife and I to hunker down with our two dogs in the back of the car. After the tornado warning was lifted, we had a long night of heavy rain and strong winds and the tent stood up to it really well. It was very stable for such a large and tall tent and there was almost no leakage in the driving rain. There was a hint of water that got under the rain fly but nothing that was a problem. I would highly recommend this tent. It is tall and roomy and docks very securely to the hatchback of our Subaru Outback. Paired with a collapsible awning it makes a great car camping system.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will it fit a jeep gladator with a truck bed tent**
A: It fits a Toyota Tacoma with an AT Overlander Atlas topper. The problem may be snugging the two tents together if you want both open for access. It will snug nicely over a topper door which you won't have and up to the bottom and sides of the tailgate without issue.

**Q: I see it says jeep hard tops, but will it also work for soft tops?**
A: Dear CustomerIf you can attach the suction cups to the front windshield, the soft top will also fit

**Q: will this work with a Thule cargo roof box?  I noticed suction cups in the video.**
A: It does have suction cups but the roof box should not interfere.  In my opinion. You have a lot of leeway for placement.

**Q: When you drive away does the tailgate opening zip closed?**
A: Yes it fully zips closed as a second door. Love this tent BTW!!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Camping Game Changer

I was looking for a tent to add to my Tacoma truck. I looked at a lot of options that would attached to the roof. Non of those options opened up to the back of the bed. I built a bed platform in the bed of the truck and wanted something that would give us a little more room and privacy. This was the perfect addition. First, it is very well built and a very high quality tent. I love the fact that we can stand up in there. It makes it easy to change our close and move around. We can now slide out from the bed and not have to worry about shoes, dirt or rain. It is so spacious you can setup a bed inside the tent so the family can all camp together. We setup chairs and a table in there to hold our camping stuff. You could even put a pee bucket in there so you don't have to wonder to far from bed. It is easy to setup. The tunnel to the truck is not difficult to figure out. Every vehicle is different, so i suggest playing around with it and finding your own personal setup. You can detach it easily, zip up the tent, and take the truck out for the day. Just back up, attach and you are ready for the night. We love this tent and it has changed our camping experience. Worth every dollar.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stable in wind and rain.

I bought this awhile ago for beach car camping on Portsmouth Island (Outer Banks of North Carolina). This past week was my first chance to put it to the test. First off I violated the first rule of camping. I did not do a practice run with setting it up. My wife and I figured it out but the directions were sketchy. The basic set up was fairly straight forward but there are a plethora of straps and buckles with no clear instructions about how to use them. But, as I said, we figured it out. We used specialty sand stakes to anchor the four corners and we set up a large canopy over the front access door for shade. On our third night we got serious wind and rain. The the tornado warning went off about 9:00 PM. There was really nothing to be done except for my wife and I to hunker down with our two dogs in the back of the car. After the tornado warning was lifted, we had a long night of heavy rain and strong winds and the tent stood up to it really well. It was very stable for such a large and tall tent and there was almost no leakage in the driving rain. There was a hint of water that got under the rain fly but nothing that was a problem. I would highly recommend this tent. It is tall and roomy and docks very securely to the hatchback of our Subaru Outback. Paired with a collapsible awning it makes a great car camping system.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Planned to return but gave a second try!

I had originally decided to send it back as it was such a pain to put together, but thought I would give it one more try. The First set up was difficult as the parts are not marked, but after an hour or so, I had it together. But then, unfortunately, there are no instructions as to how to fasten it over the top of the truck and strap it down. The Second set up went much easier as I knew what I needed to do and just guessed as to how to fasten it to the truck. It did come together nicely and would recommend this product, but keep in mind that the company sends very little to NO Instructions Which is very frustrating. The only other thing is the entrance is on the left side as you face the back if the truck. Not a big deal but when camping next to others our door was just a couple feet from where they sat. A door at the end would be nice. Seems to be good quality and hope it will hold up in the future.
