Arb has its own kind of awning. **Q: is there a screen tent that will attach to it? and it is 8 ft 2inches** A: No not this type of awning. **Q: Is there a way to mount this to round Yakima bars?** A: Yes, they can be mounted to a variety of roof racks, rails, baskets etc. Mine is mounted to a round bar roof basket with no issues. It will come with a manual that explains the 3 main mounting options, & option 2 is for round bar mounting. **Q: It states that it is retractable, does it indeed retract under spring tension, and if so, has it held up well for those who purchased this item?** A: Not Retractable. I had a friend’s bf install it. I had to find a YouTube video to figure it out, instructions weren’t super helpful. As others have stated, the included hardware isn’t all you’ll need. I had a friend help me set it up and break it down twice, then had no problem doing it myself after a few tries. It looks cool and is well made. The material seems durable and the Velcro isn’t f’ing around! It’s pretty lightweight and I loved that it comes with a bag attached for storage. It perfectly fit over the passenger door and takes up zero space to store. I added a few outdoor area rugs (which helped me set it up and break it down) and it was perfect! The pre drilled holes make it easy to know where to fit the poles.
