## Overview

The SLOTDOG Hot Dog Cutter features patented stainless steel blades that create perfect criss-cross slots, enhancing flavor absorption and caramelization. It slices 8 hot dogs in just 2 minutes, is dishwasher safe, and designed for skinless, firm hot dogs to deliver consistently delicious results with minimal effort.

## Description

Slotdog doesn't just make your hot dogs spectacular, it makes them cook faster by directing the heat directly to the center, it even tastes better thanks to the crispy caramelized squares that capture your condiments and won't let them drip onto your clothes. The hot dog revolution awaits... join her now. Using the slotdog 1) Press the slotdog down on the hot dog until the blades pierce the flesh to the desired depth. 2) Detach the hot dog from the blade. 3) Repeat the operation on the opposite side to prevent the hot dog from rolling up on itself. 4) Cook/grill and watch the slots expand and become crispy. 5) Enjoy your delicious Hot Dog slotdog. - Designed for skinless hot dogs For ideal use of the slotdog, choose hot dogs without the skin. Hot dogs with natural or collagen-based skin are usually too thick and stiff for the slotdog's blades. Hot dog cold, firm hot dogs give better result A slightly firm hot dog, fresh out of the fridge gives a better result while the hotter hot dogs are soft and nobody likes soft hot dogs

## Features

- The ultimate hot dog trick. A must-have tool for BBQs, camping, parties, etc.
- The stainless steel blades create nicks that enlarge as the hot dog cooks and tells you when it is cooked.
- Perfect for kids who love alligator, dinosaur or dragon scales
- The squares become perfectly crispy and the slots accommodate your condiments.
- Dishwasher safe (top rack).

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How do you clean the Slotdog?**
A: It's a little tough to clean because it's tough to get into the steel cutting grid. What I do is soak it in hot soapy water for a while, then use a scrub brush to remove any remaining particles. There aren't usually any large bits of hotdog stuck in there, as long as you're careful how you pull the hotdog off after scoring it. Instead it's pretty much like how dirty a knife would get cutting a hotdog. Which is not very dirty. We love our Slotdog.

**Q: In your honest opinion, is slot dog better than curl-a-dog? With the price difference, I'm not sure I want to order slot dog unless it's really worth.**
A: There are quite a few advantages of SLOTDOG over spiral cut dogs. A few being the fact that spiral cut hot dogs stretch out losing rigidity and can fall apart easier when taking them off the grill, they can also hang out of the bun whereas SLOTDOG hot dogs plump up rather than stretch out so they stay more intact, you also get more surface area on the edges which crisp up nicely and they do like better! Also the SLOTDOG blades are Stainless Steel vs Plastic...plus the #SLOTDOG Nation community on Instagram is awesome so you don't just get an amazing looking hot dog youre also joining a family of SLOTDOG loving grillers! Hope that helps!

**Q: Will it work on quarter pound hot dogs**
A: i am not sure but if you are strong enough and press down hard enough and don't mind flattening the dog a little it might - it will certainly make some groves in the dog that you can then go back and cut deeper with a knife - i usually get tired before i run out of dogs - good luck.

**Q: How do you clean it ? i don't want to spent 20 min soaking and cleaning who has that kind of time for a hotdog?**
A: Dishwasher. If you make a hotdogs for a long time, you can put the Slotdog in a bowl of water between each hot dog.
