Created with a Veterinary nutritionist, these 100% human grade clusters are made with real WHOLE foods. They’re mixed in small batches, cold pressed, slow roasted and dehydrated to maintain the nutrients, aroma and textures of whole foods. They look Different because they are different, straight from our kitchen to yours! Most pet food makers would never invite you inside their kitchens—because they’re not kitchens. They’re heavy processing plants. Our company started in our founder's kitchen in 2002, where she made meals for her family (both human and pets). Today, we still prepare food with the same love and uncompromising quality. Our food is made from ingredients you’d recognize in your own kitchen right alongside breakfast cereals and bakery mixes, so it satisfies the same rigorous safety, cleanliness and quality standards of people food. If we couldn't put it on our own dinner table, we won’t feed it to your pet. From eggs and salmon to pumpkin and parsley, wholesome foods you recognize and can pronounce are the only ingredients we use. And what we leave out is as important as what we put in. Our food is made in the USA and never contains the potentially unsafe and unhealthy ingredients found in feed-grade products. No by-products or fillers - No additives or preservatives - No “4D” meats or feathers - No corn, wheat or soy - No ingredients from China - No GMO ingredients. Our suppliers must certify they meet the strictest standards for food safety and health as well as sustainability and fair-trade practices. Every year, each of our suppliers signs our “human food grade guarantee” and “statement of quality and integrity”. Not easy to become one of our supplies — and for good reason.Made Honest Less Processed Process: Made in our kitchen – We start by mixing 100% human grade batches of fresh meat and produce. Cold pressed – then we cold press these whole foods into pure and delicious whole food clusters. Slow roasted and dehydrated – each cluster is slow roasted and gently dehydrated for maximum nutrients. For Veterinarians, food safety experts and savvy pet owners, there’s 100% human grade, and there’s everything else. It’s the best Pet food you can buy, ensuring a level of quality and safety no feed-grade product can claim. We use only the highest quality ingredients from sources we trust (and no phony, feed grade ingredients ever). Our preparation methods and facilities meet safety standards 7x those of feed-grade ones. We do more than meet the highest standard for food safety and quality — we invented It. A few other pet food brands have since followed our lead, but most continue to use inferior, feed-grade ingredients. Once you learn the difference, you’ll never go back to feed grade again.Ingredients: Chicken, potatoes, peas, chicken liver, lentils, carrots, ground flaxseed, eggs, broccoli, pumpkin, apples, coconut oil, natural chicken flavor, salmon oil, kale, chia seed, minerals [calcium carbonate, tricalcium phosphate, sodium chloride, iron amino acid chelate, copper amino acid chelate, manganese amino acid chelate, zinc amino acid chelate, sodium selenite], fenugreek seed, dried kelp, taurine, vitamins [vitamin A supplement, vitamin D3 supplement, vitamin E supplement, thiamine mononitrate (vitamin B1), riboflavin (vitamin B2), calcium pantothenate (vitamin B5), pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), folic acid, vitamin B12 supplement, niacin supplement], mixed tocopherols (a natural preservative), turmeric, dried bacillus coagulans fermentation product, rosemary extract. Rottweiler, Mastiff and AmStaff. The Rottweiler and the Mastiff are from my Home country in Europe and when i moved them to the US, they had tremendous issues with the food here. The AmStaff has Kidneystones issues and cant have normal food at all. He needed Royal Canin Dog food that reduces the Purin in his food.I went through all different kind of Brands and ended up with Orijen and Acana. And even with those two, my Mastiff started reacting bad to. I started alot of research and realized that in the United States there is almost no Petfood that is human grade. That is completely different in Germany. The dogfood there has to be human grade. So is started cooking for my dogs. I went to goodwill, got me an old Ricecooker and started feeding them different grains, pure chicken, pure fish and a whole bunch of veggies. Thats ALOT of work as you can imagine... so I finally found This brand. And i can tell you: it is a gamechanger. The food smells even for me DELICIOUS! All of my dogs love it. I still mix it with certain vegetables or with some Oats once in a while, but when I can't cook for them, thats what they are getting. Their fur looks and feels amazing, they smell better, they lost a bit of weight in a positive way, their Poop is constantly good (i am a nurse...😁) and even for my Amstaff with special diatary needs thus is a good alternative once in a while. ( i do check his Urin with PH -sticks regularly though). I can also recommend the dehydrated version of the grainfree chicken. I sometimes mix it with grains or pasta since it is not a cheap food. But I can tell you : It is worth every Penny! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Happy Dog *by K***A on Reviewed in the United States on 10 May 2024* Agrees with my dogs digestion and she is active and has a beautiful coat. ## Frequently Bought Together - The Honest Kitchen Whole Food Clusters Grain Free Chicken Dry Dog Food, 20 lb Bag - The Honest Kitchen Human Grade Dehydrated Whole Grain Dog Food – Complete Meal or Topper – Chicken 10 lb (makes 40 lbs) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/513964564-the-honest-kitchen-whole-food-clusters-human-grade-dry-dog](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/513964564-the-honest-kitchen-whole-food-clusters-human-grade-dry-dog) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-16*
