How does make sense?** A: American labor in American facilities were earning an almost living wages. Some shops were also unionized which meant they would get medical benefits and retirement. The factories were closed and all the jobs were shipped overseas, in this case, the communist North Vietnam where at the time, labor rate was 50c per day American money. Sardines are hugely profitable for the fish mongers. Per CIA Fact Book, the labor rates in Vietnam have increased and as of the last time I checked, they are making $1.50 per day. You may check it for yourself. I am still not sure about the Wild Planet Tuna. **Q: are these the whole fish - with heads, eyes, bones, tails, etc? the description says "whole portions" but just wanted to confirm. thanks.** A: no heads, eyes, and tails.
