Review: Great value and easy to use - With the Velux-branded poles so very expensive, this WinHux pole was exactly what I needed, at a fair price. There are 3 extendable sections, and you turn the pole to tighten when extending. It opens and closes my Velux windows with ease. One of them is 4.5 metres off the ground, through a window tunnel. So this is the perfect pole to open that when I don't want to use the remote control. It is also very handy for bypassing the auto-close rain sensor.
Review: It works! - I bought this to replace a Velux window pole, mainly on the strength of the reviews on desertcart. the pole arrived very quickly which was great - full marks to the manufacturer. the pole is extendable with a screw mechanism similar to that used with extendable mop/brush handles. the pole is for use in a physiotherapy clinic where we have high ceilings and velux windows. On the first day of use one of my team managed to jam one section of the pole such that my husband had to use strong equipment from his workshop to unjam this. it was impossible to unlock by hand - I have strong hands! the pole length is good and easily reaches the high windows but is flimsy compared to the velux window pole and bends with any effort on opening or closing the windows. I'm not sure how long this will last, time will tell. The pole is lightweight and easy to manoevre. the hook on the end of the pole is good strong plastic and screws into the pole. I hope this means that a replacement of the hook alone can be bought if this fails. my ideal combination would be for the hook from this pole onto the velux pole. I also bought the smaller length pole for another set of windows at a different location. The pole was much better and the height was adjusted with a latch and holes, a similar mechanism to that used with adjustable sticks or crutches. If this mechanism was used for the longer length that would feel more secure. UPDATE AUGUST 2019 The pole was working well untill recently when the extending and twisting mechanism is now failing to hold. This is crucial to us as the windows are high. I will contact the seller direct and see what they suggest.

**Q: Will this work for Keylite windows?**
A: Essentially both keylite and velux operate in the same way, the hook end of the extendable pole will easily work the vent control bar of the keylite window and be able to open and close it.

**Q: Show me how to open window**
A: Just hook the fitting over the window handle and pull it downwards. It should unclip the window latch and pull the window open. It may be your latch is jammed so you need a sharper tug. To shut the window put the fitting on the widow handle again and just puch the window closed. The latch should spring int place automatically.

**Q: Can we use on handles of skylight or its only for bar as seen on pictures?**
A: Hi, it is only designed for windows with a handle bar as shown in the photos. It won't work with windows with a handle.

**Q: Will this reach 4mtrs with me holding I'm 5.8**
A: Hi Kevin,

Yes, the pole extends to 3m metres so when you're holding the pole you should easily be able to reach a window which is 4 metres from the floor. You need to pull the window bar at an angle to open the window so make sure there's enough room beneath the window for you to do this. If you can only pull the bar straight down, it will be very difficult to open. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

This supplier is the best I've ever dealt with. I had a query when the pole arrived. My message was responded to within a couple of hours and the issue very quickly resolved by Damian who couldn't have been more helpful and efficient. The pole works very well on my high solar panel Velux window which stopped working. It has also proved really useful in bending down hard to reach rose branches! Extremely happy.
