Product description Original Thai Tea Mix from Thailand. This Number One Brand Thai Tea mix is used for making delicious Thai Iced Tea also known as "Cha Yen" since 1945. It is also a popular bubble (boba) tea flavor. There is a recipe on the back for making individual servings but some find it more convenient to make large batches at a time. Here are the basic steps for making a large amount of Thai Tea: 1. Boil about 16 cups of water in large pot 2. Add 1 cup tea mix & stir occasionally 3. Add 1 cup of sugar & stir, steep for 20 minutes to ensure strong flavor 4. Strain out the tea or pour out tea liquid into jug (the tea mix sediment should have fallen to the bottom of the pot so if you pour carefully you may not need a strainer) 5. Put jug into fridge until you have that craving for Thai Iced Tea Preparation: Fill a glass with lots of ice, pour in Thai Tea, add a couple of tea spoons of evaporated milk (or half&half) to the top and you are ready to enjoy Thai Iced Tea!! There are variations to the recipe so feel free to adjust and experiment. FYI: Traditionally, condensed milk is also used but the recipe above is simple, quick and very good! A: Yes, if you're doing iced or hot you start with boiling/hot water in any instance.

**Q: How many cups could you make with this sized bag? Can you use a hard metal or plastic seive, rather than a bag to make the tea?**
A: You should if used by directions get approx 200 cups from one 400g bag and yes as long as the seive is a tight mesh it will be ok Hope this answers your question

A: Yes.

**Q: Can you use this tea for boba?**
A: I don't see why not. I use it for Thai tea, add milk and sugar and it tastes great. You could add boba to it.

I love the aroma and taste of this tea. Easy to prepare , in my mind , best served with sugar. I take tea with or without but this blend really comes to its own sweetend. I'm giving four stars for value for money only because I go through it so quickly! Otherwise, so convenient and the delivery is really quick! The flavour of this tea is identical to what I've had in restaurants/cafes/boba places. If anyone is struggling to make it, the ratio of tea:water is 1:4. I use 1 cup of tea leaves for four cups of water. Just need to add the leaves AFTER the water has come to a boil and simmer for a few minutes (until fragrant). I like to enjoy the tea with sugar and whole milk. If you're feeling particularly indulgent, condensed milk is a lovely addition. Enjoy!!
