The shutter button seemed not to work well at first, then I realized that I needed to wait a few moments after turning it on to allow it time to connect. The remote comes off easily but connects tightly enough to stay in place. There’s a place on top for a light where a hot shoe for a flash would be - but it’s not hot, so your light would have to be battery operated. It will connect to a tripod. This does add bulk to your phone, but it still fits in my back pocket, although loosely. The mirror on the front is not great. It’s slightly reflective material, but very dull, not glass. It stays attached loosely. Easy to knock off. This is a good value for the money. I really like using it. I

Excellent addition to Smartphone photography. Very functional. Holds my phone solidly. The cold shoe attachment on top would be useful if I were to attach a light. The 1/4" screw on the bottom is perfect for attaching to a tripod. The mirror is, well... kinda useless, I suppose, but it doesn't detract from the other features and looks OK, so, no harm, no foul. Overall a very smartly designed piece of gear for a good price!
