Nice touch to close the key socket with a plastic catch to keep the elements out too. I had the 1.5m version and to show how much of a deterrent this gear is...I had a bike stolen 3 years ago, it didn't have any protection on it (silly me). I then got another bike with the 1.5m of this very system. Everyday locked for 3 years without fail...then one day it was raining, running late yes you guessed it I didn't put the lock on!!! come back 5 hrs later no bike!! Coincidence ? I don't think so. These locks are preventitive so can highly recommend. The 1.5m version I had was fine but if you have a big sport tourer (mine is a triumph st 1050) or any 'big' bike get the 2m one, especially if you are chaining to a fitment like a guard rail or lampost etc gives you plenty of free reign to wrap the chain around the rear wheel and swing arm and then over the fitting you are attaching too. This chain does not disappoint as it would certainly need serious kit to get through. As other reviewers have said, it is very heavy and so only stays in the garage.
