Review: Get one - Someone bought one of these for me and I love it, so I bought one for my wife. It will keep a drink hot for 4-6 hours, a quarter turn opens the valve at the top, lip runs all the way round so drink from any angle - ideal for having a hot drink while driving. And it doesn’t leak AT ALL, which means you can throw it on the passenger seat between slurps. The top part separates completely and it’s stainless steel inside, so it’s easy to keep clean. In short, it does everything you need it to and looks good. A bit pricey, but it’s probably going to be a lifetime purchase. I wouldn’t be without mine.
Review: Just buy this, it’s perfect. - It doesn’t leak and it keeps my mug of coffee piping hot for hours. If I fancy something cool instead, this cute flask will keep my drink icy cold all day. Perfect.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is the NFC function??**
A: Thank you for the great question!

Each Ocean Bottle is equipped with an NFC chip at its base. NFC is the same harmless technology which you will find in contactless payment cards, hotel room keys, office badges etc.

We are building a platform which will enable you to fund more plastic collection impact when you tap your Ocean Bottle at a partner location around you.

Today if you tap your Ocean Bottle onto an NFC activated smartphone, it will lead you to a webapp where you can register your Ocean Bottle to your name and find refill locations around you.

**Q: What is the diameter of the bottom of bottle please? I need to check it fits in my car bottle holder. Not all ‘standard’ bottles do.**
A: The diameter of the base is 68mm (6.8cm)

**Q: How many hrs keep cold and hot? Basic details missing in the description**
A: Hi Andrew,

Thanks for asking! The bottle can keep the water cold for up to 18 hours. And it will keep the liquid hot for up to 9 hours (it should hold water above 40 degrees after 9 hours).

Best regards,
Ocean Bottle Team

**Q: Is the capacity 500 ml to the larger opening, or 500 ml to the top opening?**
A: Hi Lavinia,

Thanks for asking! The capacity of the entire bottle to the top opening is 500 ml, metal flask volume is 450 ml.

Best regards,
Ocean Bottle Team

It doesn’t leak and it keeps my mug of coffee piping hot for hours. If I fancy something cool instead, this cute flask will keep my drink icy cold all day. Perfect.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Yeti & Thermos are no match!
*by J***E on 17 July 2025*

Moved over Thermos Stainless King & Yeti Rambler. This Ocean Bottle Drinking vessel is better than both. I know because my wife & I have had both and returned both. Ocean Bottle keeps drinks hot for 6 hours. I know because we've tested. The drinking from these Ocean cups is easy and clean. No mess, just good, easy supping. The turn tops to lock keep drinks inside with no drips or leaks. And the tops come apart in two bits for deeper cleaning. These aren't as rugged as the Yeti Rambler but they are far superior in terms of retaining heat and for overall usage. The yeti kept our coffees hot for 2 hours tops. The Thermos was better at around 4 hours but drinking from them was awful and awkward. I'm not sure what the low rating reviewers are on with their poor reviews of these Ocean Bottle vessels. They are superb, worth the money and possibly the best travel cups for coffee on the market.
