Review: Solid Oak Domli Desktop - Lovely piece of solid oak. Had to give it a light sanding as comes a little bit rough. I really enjoyed sanding it so am super happy with the quality and the price compared to similar sized pieces of solid oak.
Review: Remove all packaging before deciding which side will be the top! - I selected this product because to the price, that it was in stock, had a fast (2 day) and free (Prime) delivery. For that alone it seemed to be very good value for money. The top is perfectly manufactured with very tight engineered joints, straight sides, uniform thickness, and as others note sharp edges from the very square finishing. I have not seen any filling of joints or voids. Investing a little time and effort with a fine sandpaper to smooth the surface, break the corners and finally finish with a Danish Oil to bring out the colour, grain and beauty is very satisfying. I will point out that I selected the side that would be the top through the plastic covering so as to leave it protected whilst I drilled the holes and installed the fixings required to fit it. After completing assembly and finally removing the protective film I discovered that the manufacturer had designated an "Underside" to the product with a black ink stamp. Unfortunately it was not the same sided that I had chosen so the black stamp was now on the top of my desk! Frustrated with the time I had to spend sanding the stamping out, I did wonder why this was done in the first place, especially as I though it was the wrong choice!

A: Our 27mm thick boards can support around 30-40kgs depending on the legs/frame used

**Q: Is this returnable if it’s not the right colour?**
A: It's untreated so you can stane it the colour you want can't get a better colour than natural oak

**Q: It’s a beautiful desktop.  How would you recommend that it is treated to preserve the wood?**
A: I used Rustin's worktop oil, using it as a desk so wanted the proper seal.

**Q: after ticking the option to customise, how do you give the mesurements?**
A: You can provide the measurements to ourselves via a message on amazon after placing your order

Lovely piece of solid oak. Had to give it a light sanding as comes a little bit rough. I really enjoyed sanding it so am super happy with the quality and the price compared to similar sized pieces of solid oak.

I selected this product because to the price, that it was in stock, had a fast (2 day) and free (Prime) delivery. For that alone it seemed to be very good value for money. The top is perfectly manufactured with very tight engineered joints, straight sides, uniform thickness, and as others note sharp edges from the very square finishing. I have not seen any filling of joints or voids. Investing a little time and effort with a fine sandpaper to smooth the surface, break the corners and finally finish with a Danish Oil to bring out the colour, grain and beauty is very satisfying.
