The messaging is clear and the drawings are expressing the text very beautifully. It prompted lots of discussions that the kids initiated themselves. I think we spent about 10 minutes on the first page alone, and they love coming back to this. I have noticed a slight shift in my kids attitude to mistakes and "learning" in that they say they are making their brain into bubblegum. Review: But actually she loved it, didn't seem to find it too young - I bought this book not knowing if it would be too silly/obvious for my 9yo DD who is very bright, very fixed mindset, very likely to see through such tools. But actually she loved it, didn't seem to find it too young, got the message, and then spent the whole of tea time explaining it to her 6yo brother. Too early to see if it sinks in, but she was very tickled with it.
