I pull it to the side, and then manually put it back in place each time I close the garage door. **Q: Since this strip is 1/2'", does the garage door have to be adjusted once installed ?** A: You can by pass any adjustments by aligning the threshold seal strip just behind the garage door. So, the 1/2” part is between the garage door and the garage. I leave in Santa Fe, NM and we’ve had lots of weather (snow and rain), and so far no puddles in the garage. **Q: Should I removed the bottom door seal from the door before installing the threshold seal?** A: No I wouldn’t do that . By leaving it on creates a tighter seal at the bottom.
