**Q: What size is the cylindrical hole in the center of the cube?**
A: 1/2". The device comes with a magnet to to fit into the hole. A 1/2" by  3" cow magnet work fine as well.

**Q: What is the maximum size magnet that will fit in the tube?**
A: Ours came with a three (3") inch cow magnet. I bought extras in case one gets lost as they do. The device works great with students demonstrating magnetic fields in 3D. Hope this is useful. Richard

A: A three inch long 1/2" dia cow magnet fits perfectly. It also comes with its own cow magnet. 0.5'is the ID of this device.
