## Description

Product Description Aides Ares the castle of loarre is located near the town of the same name, in the province of husk, 30 kilometers East of its capital, already in the Western Pyrenees. It is the oldest and most important Romanesque fortified castle of Spain. Mayor of Navarre, between 1015 and 1023, ordered the building of the Roman building, the royal building, the Chapel and the Torreon de la reina, the courtyard and the military quarters, as well as the residence for the service; after his Death Ramiro I added the torre del homemade, 22 meters high from where you can see the entire region, the "Hoyas de husk". conquered by the Muslims, it was finally recovered by Sancho Ramirez, who expanded and enriched the fort. The walled enclosure covers a hectare of land, which gives an idea of?? the large Dimensions that it possesses. The wall consists of a square tower and six circular towers arranged irregularly; access to the enclosure through a door that opens between two of them. In the interior we find an albarrana tower of square plant. After a steep slope, we arrive at the main access door to the building adorned with beautiful Romanesque capitals: the Kings gate. The tower of the homage houses inside its five plants and still conserves its battlements as defensive element. Inside the castle is the Romanesque church of Santa Maria, of the XII century, that rises on a rectangular crypt and presents/ displays a semicircular apse with barrel Vault; you can access the church from the crypt of Santa quitter, also inside the Fortress. A walk through the castle is an attractive tour through towers, passageways and arches of half a point until arriving at the balcony of the Queen, in the area of?? the royal Palace. The material most used in this construction is the stone made in masonry, scarce worked. The castle is currently open to the public. She likes jigsaws and puzzles and was rather keen on the idea of tackling what would prove to be a very challenging project. I think you'll agree-she made a terrific job of this! A few month's worth of painstaking attention to detail - but the kit is very rewarding if you work hard at the detail.

I think you'll agree-she made a terrific job of this! A few month's worth of painstaking attention to detail - but the kit is very rewarding if you work hard at the detail.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Challenging but worthwhile kit

This is the second Aedes-Ars kit I have purchased and being an older model of a more involved structure (lots of round walls), it was very much more challenging than the first. The instructions were even briefer than those of the first kit, but it was still manageable with a little thought. However for “first – timers” a smaller more basic Aedes-Ars kit may be preferable. It is also big! Completed it measured 66 x 54 x 30cms approx. and was weighty to, although much of the weight depends on how you choose to form the landscaping. All that said I still thoroughly enjoyed building this kit and am very pleased with the finished product. Being a building which very much still exists today, there is plenty of photographic material of the real structure and I was able to refer to that whilst building. The kit designers were obliged to miss out sections and very much compress others or it would have been a vast and complicated kit. However I was able to include some features the designers didn’t plan for i.e. a complete building section that had been omitted, a redesigned front door (!) and various other features. I very much enjoyed the build and the finished product, all in all a challenging but worthwhile kit.
