Review: They Work - [This is the same review for the Low, Medium and High UTG 30mm Weaver Mount, See-Thru Scope Rings] Okay, this is a scope ring. What do you expect - they mount on the rail, they hold a scope. Actually these receive the 5 star rating for a number of reasons - with ONE drawback. The Drawback: They say 'See-Thru' which is technically true. However you are looking through a slit in the low rise base that is maybe a 1/4" high opening - so if you can adjust your "cheek to stock weld" AND you can see below both the ocular and objective lenses AND you can still see the rifle's sights - then they are 'See-Thru'. This applies to 'Low Rise' - the Medium and High 'See-Thru' mounts have some functionality. These are one of the 'true' Weaver mounts still available [not Picatinny' rail mounts] and the only ones I've found that fit on a Savage [semi-proprietary - not quite Picatinny, Mil-Spec or Weaver] scope base. The fit and finish are excellent - nice matte - seemingly durable finish. I've used these and mid-rise and high rise on a couple of rifles for varmint scopes so I can attest they hold zero consistently. Two things I do not know: 1. If they hold zero once removed and replaced on the mounting rail/base since I don't remove optics except with 'quick-release' fittings for 'tactical' rifles. 2. I do not know how well they hold up and are durable with heavy calibers - the largest caliber I've used these on is 5.56mm. I currently have mounted 4 scopes using UTG 30mm rings and have experienced and have had no complaints for rifles from 22LR, .17 HMR to 5.56 mm and 5.7 x 28. They do the job as well as rings costing 10x as much. Pros: Cost/Price Finish Ease of Use [the flat top on the ring makes it very easy to level a scope - simple mounting screws with provided allen wrench] Seemingly durable Consistency in product quality [4 different sets low, med, high - all with the same build quality] Value for the dollar Cons: Low rise are not really functionally 'See-Thru' Personally, I would and do recommend this product and would suggest [unless you know specifically where your L.O.S. and objective lenses are on the rifle] that you buy the set of three - low, medium and high so you get the best fit for scope, rifle and shooter. Review: I like it But.... - They didn't work for me. I mounted them on a Ruger 10/22 Takedown and I wanted to still use and see the stock sights but I could not see them through the holes. This mount was also way too high and I decided not to live with them and get the low mounts because since I was shooting a .22LR at close range I will probably have problems with parallax and I was actually lifting my head off the comb of the stock. I decided to get the low profile version of these and they work great for my application. The screw mounts and quick, tight, and secure. They make a six screw clamp if you need a really heavy duty clamp on your optic. Happy shooting. Cheers. UPDATE 3/5/13 Just a Note on my particular application on a Ruger 10/22 TAKEDOWN. I got the rifle because It can be taken apart and get smaller and is great for travel, hiking, and camping However, with a scope on Rifle (Nikon with .22LR BDC) the rifle Does NOT fit in supplied bag anymore. I have three options of which I don't like. 1)get a smaller scope that I do not need to remove to fit in bag but I like the scope) 2) Get a different bag that is bigger (but I the stock bag) 3) take the scope off everytime which is easy enough and there is plenty of room it the bag but the scope is off zero ever so slightly every time I mount and dismount (It makes this fairly accurate rifle a little less accurate and a chore to shoot. I'll let you know what I decide. For now rifle has been staying in one piece and going in a full size case. Not very practical for a TakeDown.Hope this helps. Good luck.

## Features

- NOTE: We recommend to tighten the ring top screws with a torque value of 25 inch-lb.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is the scope height distance?**
A: i've never heard referance to that before. let me tell you what i know. scope rings are designed to set a certain distance above the brl of the gun. this is referred to as low profile or high profile. the lower the scope is to the brl the more stable and accuarete it is. when you go to high profile rings, it is usually because the diameter of the scope (at the front end) "furthest from your eye" is large. 44, 50mm or larger (usually). high profile rings start around 1" high. if your looking to buy a scope then get one that has an illuminated reticle red and green. you can shoot in low light or at night with these. often you can see your target but not the crosshairs on the target. i prefer a mildot illuminated reticle. get an adjustable power like a 4x16x40 or a 6x14x40. look at leapers, bushnell and simnons brands. check out sportmans guide, natchez and an online company webby optics. leapers is a chinese scope that is under $80 and is bright and clear. bushnell has scopes ove $200 and so does simmons. leopuld is 2-3x the price. consider the caliber that is being shot and go with leapers if your shooting anything 7.62x39 or smaller.

**Q: will these rings fit on a rubber armored fixed 6x power leapers scope?**
A: I can't confirm for this specific scope, but these rings worked fine on an armored 3-9x32 NCStar AR scope with a 1" tube. I had no trouble with these rings on any scope with a 1" tube. For best results, use a gun vise and try to get the top mount as even as possible before tightening down.

**Q: Will these rings allow me to use the iron sights on a m1a scout squad?**
A: I put these on my LHR Redemption 50BP. They do allow me the I se of iron sights.

**Q: will this ring fit on a nikon pro staff scope?**
A: John,There are two sizes of rings sold. The first is the 1 inch ring (25.4 mm), which fits most scopes made in the US and many of those made to be sold in the US. The second type rings is the 30 mm (1.18 in), which is designed for many European scopes and some US -made scopes with a 30 mm tube. It sounds like you were shipped a set of 30 mm rings originally.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ After buying one I bought 3 more.
*by A***R on March 2, 2022*

I purchased this for a Hatsan 155 torpedo and it works great . It gives me excellent eye relief and also comes with stop pins and even extra hardware. They are high profile mounts which accommodates a 6-24 ×50 scope nicely. I really like this and purchased 3 more for some of my other rifles. EXCELLENT PRODUCT(I found other mounts for cheaper prices but why risk buying junk when you have a proven product) just purchased another for a Hatsan150 sniper.( The last mount I received seemed a little off and had to shim rear mounts in order to get my scope to zero out,but no big deal. ) late entry I purchased 7 total and last 2 needed to be shimed so I think QUALITY CONTROL is needed. Also make sure you secure the bottom mounts before screwing down your set screw. Otherwise your alignment will be thrown off and your scope will have to be dialed to far left or right and if that happens you know the mount is fighting against the set screw.
