## Overview

The Keeley Halo Andy Timmons Dual Echo Pedal is a premium stereo delay effect pedal featuring two independent delay sections with up to 1500ms delay time each. It offers five selectable rhythmic delay modes, including Andy Timmons’ signature modulated 'Halo' sound preset. Built with a durable metal housing and dual footswitches, it delivers rich, spacious, and versatile delay tones ideal for professional musicians seeking both ambient textures and precise rhythmic echoes.

## Description

Andy Timmon's mysterious 'Halo' effect is a modulated dual echo sound that was kept secret by the sound wizard himself for a long time, and he spent decades combining and developing the sounds that can now be easily produced with the Keeley Halo effects pedal. Played notes from the halo 'dance rhythmically' and produce almost a reverb like diffusion. These notes are held together with tape-like effects such as modulation, saturation and compression. In addition to Andy Timmon's signature delay tone, the pedal offers the possibility to create your own sounds and save them as a preset. The simple, seamless switch between Side A and Side B with freely adjustable settings combines practically two separate delay effects in one pedal. In addition to Andy's signature 'halo' sound, the pedal offers four more rhythm modes: quarter notes, dotted eights, bucket brigade (BBD) and a classic multi-head tape echo. Stunning stereo effects and pristine sound quality are further enhanced by Saturation, Tone and Shelving Filters controls to make the Keeley Halo the 'ultimate' delay effect pedal.

Review: Incredible Sound Quality, But Be Prepared for the Learning Curve - The Keeley Halo genuinely sounds incredible. The delay tones are rich, spacious and beautifully musical, with a softness and depth that makes lead playing feel huge and expressive. It absolutely nails those atmospheric Andy Timmons-style ambient echoes, but it can also cover more conventional delay sounds once you start exploring it properly. What impressed me most was how refined everything sounded. The repeats sit perfectly behind your playing, never harsh or intrusive, and there’s a really addictive sense of width and dimension to the whole thing. Clean tones especially sound stunning through it. Build quality is excellent too. It feels like a premium pedal in every respect. That said, I have moved this pedal on - not because it sounded bad, quite the opposite - but because I personally found the learning curve steeper than I could really be bothered with. I'm a bit of a luddite when it comes to gear tbf. There’s a lot going on under the hood with the dual delay setup, hidden functions and deeper tweaking options. I can absolutely see why some players love that flexibility, but I realised I wanted something simpler and more immediate. In the end I swapped it for a more straightforward tape delay-style pedal that suited the way I play a bit better. Still, if you enjoy experimenting and want one of the best sounding modern delay pedals out there, the Halo is seriously impressive.
Review: Incredible delay pedal – inspiring and musical - The Keeley Halo Andy Timmons signature is easily one of the most inspiring delay pedals I’ve used. From the moment you plug in, it just sounds right—rich, spacious, and incredibly musical. The standout feature is the Halo mode itself. It creates this wide, stereo-like spread that feels huge without getting in the way of your playing. It’s perfect for ambient textures, lead tones, and especially for that signature Andy Timmons sound—smooth, expressive, and full of depth. What really impressed me is how easy it is to dial in great tones. Unlike many delay pedals that require a lot of tweaking, this one gives you usable, beautiful sounds almost instantly. The modulation is subtle and tasteful, and the repeats sit perfectly in the mix without becoming muddy. It’s also very versatile. You can go from clean rhythmic delays to big atmospheric soundscapes, and it handles both equally well. Whether you’re playing lead, ambient, or even adding depth to simple chords, it elevates your tone. Build quality is excellent, as you’d expect from Keeley—solid, reliable, and clearly designed with musicians in mind. Overall, an outstanding delay pedal that delivers both simplicity and depth. If you’re after a delay that sounds musical and inspiring rather than overly technical, this is it. And the preset feature is amazing for keeping your favourite delays ready to use

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Don't be scammed
*by P***L on 22 February 2024*

I've got a few of these amazing pedals but be warned. Keeley have updated the firmware on the more recent models and the sound is excellent. I bought two of these recently from the Keeley store on Amazon in the USA. The first was fabulous, the second pedal that was sent was a scam. The pedal serial number on the back of the pedal was an early number and different from the one on the box. The pedal was clearly second had complete with scratches and a faulty switch. I don't know who is to blame for this, but clearly someone substituted an old pedal for a new one. The pedal itself is perfection, so easy to use and adjust, it was designed by a genius. Well done, very well done.
