A: Hi,This lock will probably not work for your application, it is for a specific style of Hon brand file cabinet that has the necessary lock linkage to connect to this lock.Thank you.

**Q: I have hon 4-drawer file cabinets (drawers are stacked vertically).  Each has oval knockouts to accept a lock.  How do i know if this is compatible?**
A: The lateral file cabinet lock will not work on your vertical cabinet. If you can provide the length and width of the punch out hole we can determine the correct replacement lock for you.
