I started getting Bacterial Vaginosis and Yeast Infections about 3 years ago. I never had them in the past but when I got a hormonal IUD, it all went down hill. My new OB told me I should of never been put on an IUD period because I’ve never had kids. After getting the IUD taken out a year later, the BV and yeast infections wouldn’t go away. I was getting them at least once a month and sometimes twice if I was intimate right after my period. It really put a huge strain on my self esteem. Not to mention I was constantly spotting between periods because I couldn’t get my body to regulate after the IUD and birth control pills weren’t helping. So here I was spotting in between periods (sometimes for 2 weeks + 1 week on my period) and getting BV AND yeast infections at the same time. I got to the point where I could self diagnose and used my virtual doctors visit app to get antibiotics. Even then, antibiotics were only a quick fix. Sorry for the long post, but please read if you want an accurate picture of what this product can do. I have immunity issues I've struggled with since I was born. The docs can't figure out what it is and I've already lost a kidney to bacterial infections. I am on antibiotics at least 5-6 times per year and have to deal with antibiotic resistant germs now, including yeast. The traditional meds no longer work for the candida I'm now colonized with and I've tried everything under the sun to combat the problems. Diet, supplements... However, I finally came across this product. For the last couple months I've been battling yet another yeast infection that hasn't responded to anything and was so severe I was looking at maybe needing Amphotericin-B, a very STRONG antifungal that makes you extremely sick. I'd have done it though, because it's turned into a super infection, basically the MRSA of yeast. But I'd probably be right back here after the next round of antibiotics and will eventually get to where nothing will work at all. Well, I'm only on day 3 of this treatment, using 2 capsules a day, and the itching is almost gone and the swelling has decreased dramatically. The odor was gone and a lot of the yeast had been killed off and expelled during the first 48 hours. I'll be writing another review in a few months evaluating it's effectiveness at preventing them by using them during times I'm most susceptible. It will most likely burn/itch a bit and cause some uncomfortable cramps at first, but it will pass. And make sure to do at least a week's worth of treatment, possibly 2, even if you start feeling completely cured to ensure you kill it off 100%. That's how rebound infections usually occur. Traditional meds are given just long enough that it knocks it down so it appears to be gone, but because yeast and BV are so resilient, they have a tendency to have some surviving microbes that will come back in full force. But you'll run into more problems if you take the traditional meds longer than they're typically used. It's a catch-22. Also, wear a pad or liner because the dead microbes will be expelled, causing a lot of discharge at first.
