Automated Attendant Mode AND Operator mode. Call hold, transfer,Caller ID (FSK/DTMF/Bellcore). Three-way conferencing. Intercom call--Make internal calls from any extension. Facsimile supported--Any extension can hook up a fax machine or a PC to send or receive facsimiles. Incoming call alert Toll restriction scheme--Long Distance or International Direct Dialing can be disabled on a per extension basis. Secretary assisted dialing Limit CO line call duration Power failure tolerant Do not disturb--Extension with 'do not disturb' turned on will not ring. Review: Makes for a great modern field phone with a few exceptions; must be powered for phones to call each other, mechanical phones do not get enough power to ring, the unit itself should be kept in a dry environment. Pros: 8 phones can be connected with their own assigned 3 digit phone number, electric phones ring loud, mic and speaker are clear, a LED lights red when a phone is off the hook, its capable of being expandable, unit is plug and play, and price is amazing for what you get. For a mechanical phone I found adding a spliter and an lan phone flasher worked okay. There is a flasher on desertcart that blinded me like a flash bang on call of duty mw so place it cautiously. Speaker quality is still poor on the mechanical phones despite all my efforts.

**Q: Is it possible to use this soley as a stand alone intercom system with 6 single line standard telephones?**
A: Is there anything special you had to do to activate the intercom feature? Ive been through the manual dozens of times.. Tried every combination of dialing.. Tried renaming the ext. no's etc.. I know the PBX will ring the phones im using, im able to call the operator unit and also mass call all extensions from any ext, yet i cannot make an ext to ext call no matter what. Please someone tell me what im missing.. I bought a second unit thinking the first was defective but the issue is exactly the same. Someone please help, I need the intercom functionality badly!!! Thanks in advance!

**Q: Does this work with US 20 Hz phones**
A: see other answers decried the instructions.   Yes they are obtuse but for what I wanted it for, just a private exchange for a model railroad, it worked fine and was up and running in less than 20 min with 7 trimline phones. I did not use all the call waiting etc features.

**Q: Will this system work as an auto attendant to tell a caller to press 1 to speak to a sales associate? I want to block auto nuisance calls.**
A: Yes it will, you can tell it to press 1 for the first extension and so on for all of the extensions. However it only allow one step and 20 seconds of recording time for the auto attendant message. We use it to automatically disconnect anyone who doesn't dial an extension within 10 seconds. Haven't had an auto nuisance call since.

**Q: the image shows the 3 line version. which is accurate: image or text?**
A: The one I received had jacks for 3 lines but I never tried to use the third line.
