And Boy! SO GLAD I DID! The first night I had the device, as I pulled off my tee-shirt, the sleeve got stuck on the adhesive of the implant and almost ripped it out of my arm. Luckily, though, I caught it in time to apply THREE of these patches onto the sensor to ensure it stays in place for its fifteen-day life, and doesn't try coming off again. Maybe just ONE of the patches would suffice for some people in some situations, and maybe as I get more accustomed to how these things work, I'll be able to apply only ONE of these overpatches to hold the unit in place. But for now, I appreciated that there are so many in one package here, that I can go ahead and apply a TRIAD of PATCHES on each applicator... ensuring that it stays FIRMLY IN PLACE over time. You get a solid cover area which keeps the Dexcom more waterproof. The size is much better than others, these are not too big, but they cover what is needed. I am on my first one but it seems that it is very durable. These cost a little more that others I have used, but they may last longer and change Dexcom less.
