Folds up neatly but I probably wouldn't take it away with me because of the weight (it needs to be a decent weight to stop it toppling over if you set it at an extreme angle) and because the mains cable isn't that long. I meant to order the portable USB rechargeable version and unfortunately managed to pick the wrong one - I didn't realise there were two versions until I received it. A friend recommended the rechargeable version and really rates hers highly. Didn't send it back because I couldnt work out how it went back in the box, and it wasn't really the sellers fault that I didn't read the description properly.
