Vicks First Defence is a nasal spray that I think mostly contains Zinc. I have used ColdZyme a lot and it has always worked well for me. Not so keen on Vicks First Defence but that may just be personal preference. **Q: Is the product sealed when it arrives?** A: Neither the box, nor the product are "sealed". A flimsy cap covers the nozzle. **Q: What is the shelf life please ?** A: It will have a date on the box, approximately 2 years in the future. A 20 ml container is enough for 3 colds but you can get a smaller size which lasts for only one cold. It is more pleasant to use than the nasal sprays and very effective. **Q: It says will treat 3 colds but how long does it last once the packet is opened or are there 3 separate treatment bottles?** A: I don’t throw it away once opened - I just keep it in a cupboard and use whenever I get a sniff, tickle in my throat or feel a cold coming - seems to work just fine! It does the job and completely got rid of my itchy sore throat.
