Dark rosin is soft and stickier, providing more grip than light rosin, it's can produce a warm, clear tone and is appropriate for all instruments. Our hypoallergenic rosins available that produce little to no rosin dust. ✔Low dust no harm. ✔Achieve a full and clear tone. ✔Easy grip for one-handed use. ✔Designed for violin, viola, cello, double bass. Q: Do I need to scratch/crack it before using this rosin? A: You can just apply to the bow, about 5-10 times up and down. For new rosin, you can also use a file to slowly and gently scrape the surface for easier attachment to the bow. Q: How to store & care for your rosin? A: Rosin should be always be stored at room temperature, most violinists store their rosin in a compartment of their violin case so it's easily accessible. It's also a good idea to keep your rosin in its case or pouch to prevent it from leaving rosin flakes in your case. Q: Is light or dark rosin better for my violin? A: Violin and viola tend to use a harder light rosin while cello use a medium sticky dark rosin, and double bass use an even stickier dark rosin, but this isn’t a hard-and-fast rule. Climate is the major factor in choosing a rosin. If you live in a hot, humid area (or are going to play in a hot, humid space), a lighter rosin is generally the way to go. Darker rosins are extra-sticky. When applied to your bow hair, they provide a good deal more grip than light rosin. This can be problematic in hotter environments, but it’s perfect in dry and cool places. Light rosin will still work in dry places, but the difference in grip is definitely noticeable. ## Features - 【All-Natural Ingredients】Dulphee 6 Pack high quality rosin is created from the highest quality of natural materials and reduces dust to a minimum to protect the human body from harm. - 【Great Grip & Sound Penetrating】Rosin are poured and packaged under the most stringent quality controls. As a violinist, the quality of rosin can significantly affect the sound and playability of the instrument, and this product exceeds all my expectations. The rosin itself is smooth and easy to apply, providing an even and consistent grip on the bow. It produces a rich, warm tone that enhances the overall sound of my violin. I’ve noticed a significant improvement in the clarity and projection of my playing since I started using it.Another great feature is its long-lasting quality. Unlike other rosins that require frequent reapplication, a little goes a long way with this one. The packaging is also sturdy and compact, making it easy to carry in my case without worrying about it breaking.Overall, this violin rosin is an excellent choice for both beginners and advanced players. It delivers outstanding quality and value, making it a must-have for any serious musician. Highly recommend! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good rosin, inexpensive. *by on Reviewed in the United States April 20, 2024* I like dark rosin—it's my personal preference. So, when I was shopping for some inexpensive rosins to drop into project violins, I saw these and decided to order them. At their price point, they can't be beat. Of course, you get what you pay for; don't expect this to be an amazing, world-class rosin from a boutique manufacturer. It is not, and the amount of rosin that you get isn't exactly generous, either. However, there's a lot to like here. The rosin works great. I played all day today using this rosin, and it's fine. While it is true that this rosin will crack if you look at it wrong, this is mostly due to the shallow pour and the little plastic cases, which can be tricky to open. Exercise due caution, and you'll be OK.A little of this rosin goes a long way, so this little cake will last a while for the occasional player. Remember to roughen it up a bit with some sandpaper when you start using it, and it'll be good to go. Recommend. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Quality and Very Durable *by on Reviewed in the United States August 6, 2026* The quality is excellent, and it looks very durable. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/492646344-rosin-violin-rosin-6-pack-cello-viola-rosin-for-violin](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/492646344-rosin-violin-rosin-6-pack-cello-viola-rosin-for-violin) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-27*
