Review: Expensive, but worth it if you look after it! - Great tool for setting out and if you need to estimate quantities of UK metric bricks or blocks. Can save a lot of time instead of setting out dry, moving and relaying. Especially when you can't remember what works to a certain meterage etc. Just keep it clean and only use for setting out and use a cheap 5m or 8m tape for other stuff as it can get gunked up a bit, and its quite expensive. Hadthree of these tapes over a 15 year period. Just bin the belt clip as it is massive.

The quality of these products are terrible for the price. My first one started to stiffen after a week or so until one day it just wouldn’t retract any more. The second one, I knocked off a pack of waist high brick, which proceeded to not retract after as well. For the money I cannot say quality wise these are worth it. Just get yourself a pack of two Stanley 8m taped for half the price of one of these, then mark the gauge on it yourself.
