You can simply use a plastic bottle chosing from the variety of sizes (0.5 L - 2L) and you don't have the problem of keeping a water bag clean. Advantages: - works with common plastic bottles; - easy to use when walking or cycling; - easy to clean; Downsides: - sometimes the flux of water is not uniform and a lot of air gets into the tube; - sometimes the tube doesn't let water into the bottle so the plastic bottle squeezes the more you drink; I am a frequent hiker and I've found this item very useful.
