Review: Really Good Stuff Indeed - I've always used JBL Denitrol for adding beneficial bacteria into my 300l tank. JBL charge £20.00 (on desertcart) for 250ml and it's quickly used after water changes and general upkeep of the tank cycle. I decided to give this product a go after looking at their site and reading positive forum reviews. For starters, it's £15.99 for a !000ml bottle. That's x4 times better value which probably most persuaded me to try. I've now had it for 6 weeks (quarter left as I like to be generous with the BB) and my PH levels have been as they were. So, no real difference from what I tell against JBL's product. Due to the outcome, it led me to read more reviews on Easy-Life's range of products. I took the plunge with the mineral based (no active bacteria) filter medium. This stuff is also really good. I'd probably go as far as to say it was fantastic. 24 hours after using, my fish are visibly more active and playful. I would suggest having a look at Filter Medium reviews and trying out a bottle. Due to now being really impressed by 2 of their products, I've ordered the 5l water conditioner. It's £50 on here (+£8p&p) but I'll use it over the course of a year and on all products, have a healthier tank with really clear water (I've tried the AquaBombs and although they work, think filter medium has far more benefits) and quite a considerable cost saving. All I'd say id try it, it's worked wonders for me. I'm not sure if it's reacting well to my area's water (North West England) but can only think it would have the same effect when used with the other Easy-Life product. I hope this helps. Review: It works! - Seems to work. I have used it to add beneficial bacteria to a new marine tank. After filling the tank and adding dry rock there was a definite whiff of stagnation, one dose of this product immediately sorted that problem. Water smells sweet and I’m sure the bacteria are making a home for themselves in the rock. So far so good. I’ve certainly no reason to doubt the efficacy of the product.

**Q: Can you use this when first starting up a new tank to cycle without fish?**
A: Yes... It's perfect for this... Add it to the water  as soon as you fill the tank and it nullifies all chlorine's and heavy metals in tap water making water perfect for aquarium. Cycling time will be helped by this product but you've still got to be patient and let friendly bacteria colonies form and stabilise before adding lots of fish. Good luck.

**Q: As this removes metals and chemical  contamination, as well as add Bacteria. Does this mean I can use this instead of a dechlorinator?**
A: In theory yes. But I would still use prime

**Q: Is this a dechlorinator? It says it also removes chemicals and metals, much like the active ingredients in a dechlorinator would.**
A: I bought this as a reasonably priced bacterial starter and have used it on 2 aquariums with good results, does what it says on the tin. 
i imagine it contains chelating agents that bind chemicals together so probably does remove some undesirable chemicals that way. 
As for a dechlorinator for water changes I would buy one specifically for that purpose

**Q: How much does 1000ml treat ?**
A: Our tank is 95l we dose 30ml once a week it lasts us 30weeks so depends on tank size
