It has a non-smooth back finish which makes it easier for the printer to pick up from the feed tray than some super-quality papers. Such printers do not work well with heavy gauge photo paper which is harder to fold through the paper path (it feeds through 180 degrees to get to the print head) and often have a shiny back finish. Used in my HP 8600 and with the printer's own colour management, the results printing from Adobe Lightroom are as good as I expected, that is of quite adequate proof quality with fair colour rendition. Perfectly OK for snap shots for uncritical recipients, but I would not recommend this paper/printer combination for any sort of serious photo printing where top quality is required. This is pretty much as the product is promoted and it's not expensive, so for what I wanted it gets 5 stars. In the product description says 50 sheets but in the annoucement says 100 ?** A: It is 100 sheets. It prints out very well, good quality photos on an hp printer. **Q: is this "proper" photo paper ?** A: In my non-specialist capacity and for my purposes - yes. I have purchased this product on several occasions for producing many photo quality award certificates. **Q: Can this be used with an HP Officejet 3830 printer?** A: I use this photo paper in my HP7520, but it has a photo paper carrier. The 3830 does not have a carrier, but on looking at the online specs that printer allows the use of many sizes up to A4, including 6x4 / 150x100. I hope this helps. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good for HP office-type printer - less so for critical work *by O***R on 4 April 2014* This photo paper is a lightweight gloss finish paper which in my experience works well in my HP inkjet office printer - that is, with a front feed paper tray. Everyday, so very reasonable quality photo paper. I chose it because the 230gsm paper I had recently ordered worked in my HP6520 printer only as A4 and A5 - that is, when using the lower tray. That paper was too stiff to be handled by the photo tray at A6. This paper will work in the photo tray. Having said that the operation is frustrating because the printer more than half the time will push the sheet straight through, saying that there is a size mismatch. That's rubbish of course, and when it settles into correct working it will print perhaps 20 photos without interruption. I would certainly recommend this paper as pretty decent quality at a very competitive price. ## Frequently Bought Together - HP Q2510A, A4/210 x 297 mm, Everyday Glossy Photo Paper, 200 gsm, 100 Sheets, White - HP 305, Black/Tri-Colour Original Ink Cartridges (6ZD17AE), Pack of 2 - HP Q8692A Advanced Glossy Photo Paper 250gsm 10x15cm Borderless (Pack of 100), White --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/48834236-hp-everyday-photo-paper-glossy-a4-210-x-297-mm](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/48834236-hp-everyday-photo-paper-glossy-a4-210-x-297-mm) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
