**Q: Is the product that drys before you mark your metal ? Haven’t used similar product in years, previously bought a small tin of paste but stays wet .**
A: Yes, this dries fairly quickly then you mark out. Your paste that doesn’t dry is for checking the fit between two surfaces. Different jobs.

**Q: Would this work on a glock 17**
A: Don't know if this will work for your Glock 17 but this product does not stain the metal very well and disappears when heat is applied to the metal.
