The Makita TM3010CK/2 Mulit-tool is a well made, tough machine with a very simple way to change the blade. It is well balanced and was easy to control when running. If so google it, it looks unnecessary to me , When I need to, I just hold a good vacuum nozzle close to the blade, It works fine. A brilliant tool **Q: Can you fit a depth stop to this item and if so which one could you recommend.** A: I don't see how one could fit a depth stop. Most blades have markings on them that help one to see how deep it's cutting. **Q: Will this cut through a thin mild steel bracket and what blade would you recommend?** A: Yes it will cut through 'thin', 'mild steel'. you will need blades that are specifically for metal and are usually labelled bi-metal as they are made of two separate sections. I bought a selection set of Antler blades for use with my multitool which seemed to offer good value. The blades don't last too long, even the expensive branded ones and tend to be limited to one project. In the last month this has had a good deal of use during a kitchen fit. It is so useful when it is not possible to get a jigsaw into position. This type of tool is slow for longer cuts but that's not what it was designed for. Tool-less feature is very convenient and holds the blade securely. Good long lead. Cuts better if the material can be prevented from vibrating.
