These Shadow Games erupted into a war that threatened to destroy the entire world – until a brave and resourceful Pharaoh locked the magic away, imprisoning it within the mystical Millennium Items. Centuries later, a boy named Yugi Muto unlocks the secret of the Millennium Puzzle. Infused with ancient magical energies, he summons forth the spirit of the Pharaoh from eons ago, for destiny has chosen him to defend the world from the return of the Shadow Games. Teamed with an eclectic group of loyal friends against an extraordinary array of formidable foes, Yugi and the Pharaoh together battle to defeat forces of unimaginable evil. They ultimately succeed and prevent the world from plunging into darkness forever. With their mission complete, Yugi and the Pharaoh hold one final match against each other to determine whether Yugi is capable of standing alone without the Pharaoh’s help. When the ritual duel of destiny ends with the Pharaoh’s defeat, the magical Millennium Items are buried deep beneath the Egyptian sands and the Pharaoh’s soul returns to whence it came. And thus the story came to an end. Until now. The stakes have never been higher; the rivalries never as fierce; the risks never so great. One wrong move—one card short—and it’s game over for good. A decade in the making, Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions features new designs and an all-new story from the original creator of the global phenomenon, Kazuki Takahashi. His masterful tale features anime’s most beloved characters in their long-awaited return: Yugi Muto, Seto Kaiba, and their faithful friends Joey Wheeler, Tristan Taylor Téa Gardner, and Bakura. It’s the most highly anticipated re-YU-nion ever! ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Actors | Hidehiro Kikuchi, Kenjiro Tsuda, Shunsuke Kazama | | Asin | B01N2BG0GN | | Director | Satoshi Kuwabara | | Dubbed | English | | Is Discontinued By Manufacturer | No | | Item Model Number | TBC | | Language | Japanese | | Media Format | Animated, Dubbed, PAL | | Number Of Discs | 1 | | Product Dimensions | 13.5 x 1.5 x 19 cm; 80 g | | Rated | Parental Guidance | | Release Date | 29 May 2017 | | Run Time | 2 hours and 10 minutes | | Studio | Manga Entertainment | | Subtitles | English | ## Images ![Yu-Gi-Oh! The animation is smooth and beautiful. The voice acting for Yugi/Atem and Kaiba was as usual perfection, Dan Green and Eric Stuart really do pull it out of the bag for this one as do Wayne Grayson and Greg Abby as Joey and Tristan. I was so pleased to see the original English voice actors back, and Amy Birnbaum did a great job of voicing Tea too :)The English soundtrack is really on point for the whole movie, I hope they release it I really do because it's so much better than the Japanese version, which usually I find is the reverse for Anime but YuGiOh is one of thous rare Anime movies where the english version really is better. The subs are VERY basic for this DVD release. it's really nice to have the Japanese version of the film released along with the english version and I really enjoyed it, but in this case I much prefer the english dub.Did I mention how EPIC the english soundtrack for this was?The promo release card was a lovly touch, it's a gold rare, not super rare like the theatrical release was but it's still a nice card to have :) so I shall be hoarding it away with all of the rest of my old YuGiOh cards. ok yes I admit it I broke down and bought the movie released cards just because :)The storyline for this one is really basic and it's more of a wrap up for Kiba than for Yugi. Yugi get's his moment, oh boy does he but this story is more about Kaiba and his thoughts and feeling's after the end of the original series. NOW word to the wise, this follow's more on from the Manga than the TV series. in the manga Kaiba wasn't actually there for the duel between Yugi and Atem so he never got any closer with Pharaoh, hence the movie. the baddie is pretty run of the mill and is there as more of a plot device. it's a little bit meah but the animation, voice acting and dulling more than makes up for any lack of real plot.Honestly there's almost nothing I didn't love about this movie. It's a fantastic way to wrap up Kaiba's loose end's and the only complaint I have is that it wasn't longer, thou the run time is 129 minuets so it's not a short film. I just loved the film so much, I want another series, when there all grown up. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 17 August 2026* Its amazing I need I to complete my Yu-Gi-OH Movie Collection so I'm happy with this purchase and delivered quick ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really good anime *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 29 July 2026* Good movie ## Frequently Bought Together - Yu-Gi-Oh!
