Prior to this purchase I was using OXO's own apple corer. However I often found that you could partially miss the core and cut in to the apple if the corer wasn't positioned completely straight thus wasting time, effort and apple (not to mention, you would still need to divide the cored apple). Then I came across this apple divider by OXO and I have so far been impressed. Soon after delivery, I used this apple divider to core and divide 10 Granny Smith apples for use in a home-made apple pie.
