Finally! I've tried everything - including a super expensive goosedown duvet, duck feather quilts, and all sorts of IKEA varieties. They were all too hot, too itchy, or too heavy. (I sound like Goldilocks - but when you've got fibro and you're going through perimenopause, you become super picky!). This one is SUPERB! Seriously, I can't believe I'm waxing lyrical about a quilt, but every time I get into bed I fall straight off to sleep. It's cosy, and comfy, and warming but very lightweight. Totally worth 5 stars (esp because I bought it on a Prime Day.)A FEW WEEKS LATER...Came back to say how much I love it! It's so light (you hardly feel anything on you, which is perfect if you're super sensitive). But so, so cosy and warm. I swear it's reducing my morning cortisol spike! I opted for the 13.5 TOG since the UK can get very cold most of the year and it did not disappoint. Getting under the covers it will build the temperature off your natural body heat and trap it making the experience nice cosy within minutes.The feel is great because it is soft and airy making it comfortable to use.PROS:- Large and high quality.- Soft and cosy.- Traps in heat and brings up the temperature in minutes - you can sleep in underwear if you wanted to during the winter using this duvet.CONS:- Non-breathable. This means that after a while, the temperature under the duvet becomes too hot, meaning you are stuck in a limbo of being too hot under the duvet and too cold outside of it. So you have to make pockets for new air to come in to bring down the temperature to comfortable again. This is an unfair con but it is one that I have to mention since it is something we have experienced.Overall for the price, you couldn't ask for a better 80% yearly duvet. You will not want to be under this in the summer, but you will be begging for it for the other times in the year. It will probably save you a lot of money from heating.Somethings that do concern me is the length of time it will remain puffy and soft. As do al duvets, they become 'flat' and not as nice to wrap yourself in.
