One small window, or a skyscraper?____** A: Will wash the 35 times on small windows or more. I have large windows (farmhouse) n put the liquid in a bucket with hot water n can wash all my down stairs windows (13) with the 1 bucket. So if u have normal sized windows not a problem to get at least 35 washes. So many other products contain vinegar which is a definite NO-NO on lead!** A: The product has a neutral pH and contains no ammonia or spirits. But there's also nothing on the label to say whether you can or can't use it on leaded windows. It says it's "safe for paint, lacquer and plastics and very mild to the skin". I've even had a look on line to see if I can see anything about the action of sodium 2-(2 dodecyloxyethoxy) ethyl sulphate (which appears to be the main cleaning chemical in it) and couldn't see anything about this reacting to window lead strips. However, lead is quite a soft metal, so if you DO use it, this will be at your own risk and I would recommend you dilute the liquid by half again, to make the solution even weaker, just to be on the safe side. Or contact the manufacturer and ask them directly. The reason that vinegar will be a no-no in cleaning leaded windows will be because, even though usually quite weak and weakened further by adding to water, vinegar is acidic (its other name is acetic acid).
