The doctor advised anti inflammatory gel, massage and insoles or good supportive shoes. I purchased a pair of 3/4 insoles from the limited selection in a local chemist store. Although not entirely successful they did prove that insoles could quickly relieve the pain - I just needed to find better quality, full insoles. The FootActive ones were the first ones to arrive. I'm on my feet all the time I'm at work in a warehouse, so I put them in my work safety shoes. They were delivered on time and packaged well, and fit my work shoes perfectly (after trimming then with a pair of scissors using the size guides on the underside of the insoles). I have only been wearing them for a few days but they are comfortable even after wearing them all day. Since I am "flat footed" they are helping me to adjust my walking gate and reduce tension on my Achilles area. The only reason I have not given 5 stars is because I have only used them for a short time, and I have not used any other brand and so cannot compare them.
