Nerf N-Strike Elite Mega Centurion

Although I heard some negative reviews about the MEGA Centurion, I decided to go ahead and get it.The reviewers were wrong, this nerf blaster is one of the best I've ever seen.The ammo is huge and much more accurate than regular nerf ammo, the range is huge, and the gun has a sniper-recoil feel to it.It's not that good for indoor 1v1 blasting but for feel, long-range sniping and outdoor battles this blaster is perfect.

Bought for the 'big kid' in my house. We have a large Nerf gun collection and was looking forward to trying the new range. Overall love it. Have only given 4 stars rather than 5 as it doesn't seem to fire as far as the adverts claim. Still has a good range but unless you are Nerf mad like us best stick with the N-strike Elite range. The bullets are expensive compared to Elite bullets and you only get a few

I have had this Nerf gun for a while now and I have had no problems with it despite what I have read about it jamming and destroying bullets. If you are gentle with it and make sure the pin is pushed all the way forward then you should not have any trouble with it. It does not fire quite as far as advertised but still a really fun Nerf blaster.

We bought this as a xmas gift for our seven year old, he has several other nerf guns and has a lot of fun running around shooting things around the house with them so we thought if we got a gun that is physically bigger than him it might give us a chance of dodging him when he is trying to shoot us... we needed have worried as its almost guaranteed that when you pull the trigger the dart will limply fall on the floor like something from a Warner brothers cartoon, it is also certain that there will be no second attempt because the reload mechanism on this gun will do nothing more than mangle your darts in the chamber.Our son opened this on xmas day any by 9am we had to super glue the heads back onto 3 of the darts because the reload mechanism actually folded the dart over on itself and the only way to get it out was to pull it out with a bit of force.After a bit of looking online there are loads of people with the same issue.The problem seems to be that the loading mechanism relies on the cylindrical foam dart sliding inside a hollow cylindrical tube which then pushes it into the barrel (All good so far) the downfall if that nerf seem to have forgotten that foam darts deform and don't stay cylindrical so instead of the outer tube sliding over the dart it acts as a piston squashing the dart against a grey catch which I assume is there to stop the dart entering the barrel early... well it actually stops the dart doing anything other than deforming even more and then because the tube only slides one way you cant just pull it back, you have to pull the dart out by hand - causing them to tear or the heads to fall off..In short this is a waste of money, we will be trying to return this one shortly and I advise anyone else to think twice before wasting any money on this.

the nerf mega blaster does not get the promiced range but it still is a neat gun to haveafter a long search online you'll be able to find a new spring for the gun and then you might get double the range although you need to add a little weight to the dartsindoor you'll get the range thoughbut its a lovable gun to modify

My son loves this but we had to resort to U-tube to find out how to put it together properly as at first we thought we had a dud one. Once you manage to fit the handle thing on it works but it is very tricky just by using the instructions provided in the box.

My boys eyes were so big when he opened this and we had allot of fun ! Do though be careful loading as if the darts are not inserted well in the mag then they can get trapped , especially when the owner is so excited. Oh and googles would be a good idea

You can't have enough Nerf guns! Well that's what it is like in our house. This is a great addition to the collection. The only downside is that it comes with only 5 or 6 darts, no where near enough when you are having a full on Nerf gun fight with your friends.
