As soon as I plugged the phone in and lifted up the receiver I knew it was the one! The dial tone was really loud she even heard it sitting in her chair next to me and I had the handset in my hand. The volume controls are so easy there just sliding buttons on the phone so easy to turn down if needed. Ok it has huge buttons the mother in law is deaf not blind but i don't think it matters. It has 3 quick dial coloured buttons so u can programme them and then also an additional i think 8 down the side so very handy to programme in and theres a pull out list so you can write the names next to them. I really honestly would recommend this phone its a miracle literally it sounds crazy but when you've had as many attempted shouting, screaming, spelling out words down the phone call as we've had its so nice to call now and be able to have a conversation where she can hear you 100%.
