THE CHAIR COVERS NOW LOOK A FORM OF 'SHABBY CHIC' . **Q: Can this dye remove bleach damage on navy wool cardigans** A: To answer the issue of heating wool, it’s sudden changes in temperature and moving the wool around that causes felting, but don’t machine wash/dye if it’s not superwash wool, machine washable. If it’s hand wash ordinary wool, heat is ok provided it heats up gradually and is also rinsed in water the same temperature, and then cooled by just letting it sit in the final rinse till room temperature. Be gentle with it. If you watch videos on how to dye yarn or fibre you’ll see hot water being used, but gentle transitions. Bleach is tricky and stays in the fibre. You can neutralise it if you can get some sodium thiosulphate. Goodness knows where from! But I remember that from school chemistry lessons!
