It stops at 1300, but it will not scan that frequency band. **Q: What is the rear external antenna connector?** A: The BNC connector on the back of the scanner is a FEMALE BNC. The antenna has a MALE connector, which is determined by the center pin on the antenna's connector. **Q: is this a digital scanner?** A: Yes, if your local police is not using a digital mode, this scanner will get it. Many Highway Patrols and State Police agencies, as well as Sheriffs Departments are still using analog. Some are using Digital but are still transmitting on their old analog channels. However, everything is changing quickly. Many complaints on line about being difficult to program, invest in some software and programming is an absolute breeze. Radioreference allows you to program the scanner directly with a few button presses, ARC-XT Pro also adds virtual control and a band scope with ‘waterfall’ feature these make the scanner easy and interesting use. Memory holds up to 9000 frequencies so there is more than enough space to use.
