My one year old finds them easy to grasp! A huge win for me is that they are non-toxic so I know anything going in his mouth isn’t the end of the world. They have so far withstand quite firm pressing when colouring, as there is simply more crayon to hold onto than with a thin traditional crayon. They are quite expensive compared with a basic box of children’s crayons. If price is the main consideration, there are certainly cheaper options. However, for a baby or toddler’s first crayons, I think the extra cost is easier to justify because the size and shape are genuinely more appropriate for little hands rather than simply being a premium version of an ordinary crayon. Review: Great for little hands - These crayons are a bit pricey and more than I would normally spend on crayons - but it's worth it to know that my little one isn't going to chew on some horrible toxic material while playing. They smell delicious and the colours are great. A super size for little hands. ## Features - Warning:To be used under the direct supervision of an adult - PURITY YOU CAN TRUST: Handmade in New Zealand using natural beeswax and food grade pigments for colour. Made without the petroleum-based paraffin wax and nasty fillers that are used to make some other crayons. You'll feel and smell the Honeysticks difference - no waxy residue, no chemical smell... just the natural scent of pure beeswax! The safest choice for babies, toddlers and preschoolers from ages 1 plus. - PERFECT FIRST CRAYONS: The unique chubby shape of Honeysticks toddler crayons makes them easier for small hands to hold in a palm grasp, but much harder for small hands to break! These toddler art supplies have been "tested in preschools and the kids have tried to break them but they just can't. Plus they love the smell!" Each Crayon is 5.6cm long and 2.1cm in diameter. - NATURAL BEESWAX: The beeswax used to create Honeysticks Non-Toxic Crayons is a natural by-product of honey production, which gives our Crayons a wonderful beeswax scent. Proudly plastic free. - 12 EXCITING COLOURS TO STIMULATE CREATIVITY: Your little one can express their inner artist with an exciting range of 12 colour crayons. The Crayons colour well, easily bonding to the paper creating great toddler coloring and drawing experiences for your little artist. - CREATIVITY THAT IS SAFE FOR KIDS: Our Mission at Honeysticks is to create safe products that will spark your Childs' creativity in the important early years. They smell delicious and the colours are great. A super size for little hands. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product!! *by M***. on 18 April 2017* Received promptly and my 17 month old loves them! They smell great and are so pigmented! Really easy to use for little chubby hands and make marks really easily without much pressure, whereas cheaper crayons don't leave much of an impression. They are pricey but it's great knowing they are safe for my little one should he decide to have a nibble!! Only gave 4 star due to the price otherwise would b 5! ## Frequently Bought Together - Honeysticks 100% Pure Beeswax Crayons (12 Pack) - Non Toxic Crayons, Safe for Babies and Toddlers, for 1 Year Plus, Handmade in New Zealand with Natural Beeswax, Food-Grade Colors, Eco-Friendly - Honeysticks Non Toxic Finger Paint (6 Bright Colors), Washable from Skin, Safe Finger Painting for Toddlers, Kids Ages 1-3, 2-4, 3-5, Perfect First Paint for Little Artists Age 1+, Water Based, Eco - Honeysticks My First Paint Brush Set - 3 Pack: Ideal for Babies and Toddlers.
