**Q: Is the open ended jaw a ratchet as well? Or is it just the ring end thats ratcheted?**
A: It's just the ring end

**Q: Is the ratcheting part serviceable incase of wear and tear or manufacturing defect?**
A: Within 30 days you can return to Amazon and you can chat with the  Amazon customer service. After 30 days i am not sure, maybe you can chat with amazon customer service to hear their advice.

**Q: Does the open-ended end need to be on the nut absolutely square for this spanner to apply full torque or is there some wiggle room?**
A: By it's design the spanner needs to be square on the nut to work properly. It's a really tight fit (good thing) so I wouldn't say there was 'wiggle room' at all. hth.
