We have a bent spring that’s no longer useable. Any chance I can get a spare?** A: I suggest you contact the manufacturer **Q: can it be adapted for use with demijohns** A: Thanks for your question, we only recommend this rinser for cleaning bottles and not demijohns, for cleaning demijohns we usually suggest to fill with water and cleaning solution such as Brew Safe, there are also demijohn brushes available to help remove stubborn stains and debris if needed, Best regards, Home Brew Online **Q: What type of sterilising solution works best with this for beer bottles? Thank you.** A: Thanks for your question, we recommend using a no rinse sanitiser such a Brew Safe for rinsing bottles as it is quick and easy, if your bottles are really dirty then they may need a soak first, a cleaner such as VWP will help with this. Just remember to use warm, not boiling water, on plastic and glass, Best regards, Home Brew Online ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Brittle but serviceable product that does its job well *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 5 October 2025* A bit plasticky and once assembled cannot be put back in the box, which is a nuisance. However in use works extremely well and is an ideal way to sanitise the bottles prior to filling. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Saves time washing the inside of bottles but! *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 19 August 2020* You still need to wash the outside of the bottles! Regarding washing the inside, it does this well but I was not sure that spraying straight up and down was fully coating the all of the inside with sterilant. To make sure I hold the bottle at an angle to squirt top and bottom and side to side to make sure the sterilant runs all over the inside surface. The other thing is that the depth of sterilant needs to be high enough and topped up to cover the top of the bottle when fully depressed. This is so that some of the outside is also sterilised to prevent bacteria entering the bottle. It does save time and is highly recommended. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ really useful, poor material selection *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 26 May 2021* I have broken 2 of these bottle rinsers and both times, I would say it is down to poor material selection. i really don' t know why the outer shell is may of a brittle polystyrene, it is certainly the wrong material. I have knocked it with the end of a bottle and it just shatters without any pressure. The device is really simple and effective, it is really good at cleaning bottles, but there are improvements that can be made, as a change in the plastic for the outer shell would be a massive improvement.Having cleaned bottled soaking for hours and cleaning with a brush, this device actually manages to remove a lot of the dirt that is hard to remove. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/48152908-bottle-rinser-washer-cleaner-home-brew-beer-wine-cider-drinks](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/48152908-bottle-rinser-washer-cleaner-home-brew-beer-wine-cider-drinks) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
