The handle is hollow ABS not an issue but it would be better balanced with a solid, therefore heavier handle. Break in by soaking in water in the fridge for 3 days, give it a rub on a towel each day. It doesn't hold on to moisture as eell as my silvertip, as you can imagine, but it has decent backbone and I have no issues with lathering up and brushing it on.
