I applied a good base coat (ORLY rubber base coat) then a black polish (Essie) before two coats of each duochrome polish, and finally two coats of top coat (Lottie London Speedy Top Coat). This made the duochromes really pop, especially the foil glitter polishes. Two top coats was necessary for a glossy finish, a single coat still gave a bit of a matte finish, although that might just be the top coat I used.So far they've lasted almost a week without chipping at all, and I have gotten so many compliments on them. The shift is really clear in the correct lighting too. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful colours *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 11 April 2024* Very vibrant colours but, 3 of them, purple shades are very similar. I do like them though. You need 4 coats for the best coverage, I’ve had mine on 8 days and they have just started to chip on the edge so, for me that’s good. I don’t know what my nails are going be like when I take it off, with regard to discolouring. It's hard to get pictures or videos of holographic nails but a little goes a long way and you need 2 layers.
